From professional athletes on the St. Louis Rams and Blues to weekend warriors and those suffering from back pain, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University Orthopedics have partnered to provide outpatient orthopedic services in a new, efficient, patient-centered environment. The new 60,000-square-foot, $13 million orthopedic center, located in West St. Louis County and opening this summer, will conveniently offer a number of orthopedic services under one roof, including outpatient surgery, modern digital imaging, electrophysiology and pain injections.
“The center is a 21st century facility designed with patients in mind,” says Richard Gelberman, MD, Washington University orthopedic surgeon at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. “The outpatient center offers comprehensive services from compassionate, respectful professionals, and complements the superior inpatient procedures performed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.”

Barnes-Jewish Hospital owns and operates the ambulatory surgery center, including pre-operative, operative and post-operative services and the radiology services including the MRI and general diagnostic radiology.
