Goldfarb Dean Appointed to ANCC Board

December 16, 2009, ST. LOUIS - Michael L. Evans, PhD, RN, FAAN, the Maxine Clark and Bob Fox Dean and Professor of the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).  Dr. Evans was nominated for this appointment by the Missouri Nurses Association and the Texas Nurses Association.  The appointment was made by the Board of Directors of the American Nurses Association.

The ANCC Board consists of 10 members. ANCC's internationally renowned credentialing programs certify nurses in specialty practice areas, recognize healthcare organizations for nursing excellence through the Magnet Recognition Program®, and accredit providers of continuing nursing education.
