Jesse Arevalo is vice president, Facilities and Support Services of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He leads Food Services, Environmental Services, Health & Safety, Public Safety, Parking, Facilities Engineering, Mail Room, Dispatching and the Call Center, and partners with BJC Planning, Design & Construction on projects on the Washington University Medical Campus.
Arevalo began his career at BJC HealthCare in 2000 at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. He then moved to Missouri Baptist Medical Center, serving for 10 years as director of Campus and Program Planning. In 2006, his role expanded to include working with the City of Town and Country to update the ordinance around hospital construction, which allowed for further campus development. He then oversaw phase II of the campus master plan, including the demolition of the South building, and construction of West Pavilion, a parking garage, Goldfarb School of Nursing and the expansion of Medical Office Building C on top of the garage.
In 2014, Arevalo joined Barnes-Jewish Hospital as director of Facilities Engineering. In 2016, he became executive director of Facilities Services. He has a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University and bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Missouri State.
