Mary Spencer is vice president of the Neuroscience Clinical Program for BJC HealthCare and a member of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital executive leadership team.
In collaboration with Washington University School of Medicine, BJC Center for Clinical Excellence and BJC Strategic Planning, Spencer guides the strategic direction and provides oversight of quality and outcomes across the Neurosciences program, which includes stroke and cerebrovascular disorders, epilepsy, neurosurgery, neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis care, in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Spencer joined Jewish Hospital in 1982 as staff nurse in a medical and coronary intensive care unit. She continued to take on clinical, operational and development leadership roles, most recently as executive director, Neuroscience, Spine and Neuro-Oncology at Barnes-Jewish since 2013.
