Nicole Erter is executive director, human resources of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She joined Barnes-Jewish as a HR business partner, in August 2009 and over the last 10 years has served in a variety of roles, including HR manager, director and now the executive director. Prior to working in health care, Erter served as a senior HR leader for ThyssenKrupp Access, a residential accessibility and elevator company, for 10 years. Erter has served in various HR functions over the last 25 years within health care, manufacturing and non-profit organizations.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizations psychology and minored in communications and human resources management. She also has a master’s degree in human resources management. Erter is a certified trainer in Development Dimensions International, Inc., (DDI), Just Culture, Positive Management Leadership (PML), and Targeted Selection. She has a Lean Certification (Process Improvement) and is a member of the American Associate of Healthcare.
