Our full-service, 24/7 laboratory is known for its leading-edge technology and the most progressive clinical techniques in practice today. Our staff of 400 performs over 5.5 million procedures annually in seven main laboratory sections, each with its own specialty area. Jobs are available in:

Hematology
Encompasses traditional hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, flow cytometry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.

Chemistry
Includes general and special chemistry, as well as toxicology and point of care testing.

Microbiology
Includes bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, and mycobacteriology with DNA probe and susceptibility testing.

Transfusion Medicine
Uses the very latest in gel technology. The pheresis section provides whole blood collection for autologous donations, platelet pheresis, and stem cell collections. The staff also performs therapeutic procedures such as plasma and red cell exchanges.

Histocompatibility
Testing is performed using the most current technology available.

Surgical Pathology
Includes histology, cytology, electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and bone histology. The staff participates in renal pathology services, assisting nephrologists with specimen collection and triage. Our Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) service uses cytotechnologists to assist clinicians and pathologists at the patient collection site.

North Campus Laboratory (NCL)
Located in the Center for Advanced Medicine. Staff who want to enhance their hematology and chemistry skills enjoy the NCL’s core lab concept.
