ONE OF THE NATION'S TOP TRANSPLANT CENTERS
The PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant Residency Program at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is an ASHP-accredited program designed to allow the resident an opportunity to advance their clinical knowledge and judgment beyond that of a PGY1 pharmacy resident in the field of solid organ transplantation. The resident will enhance their decision making skills and ability to provide evidence-based, patient-centered pharmaceutical care to solid organ transplant recipients and living organ donors in the interdisciplinary team setting. The resident will learn to communicate effectively when educating patients and other health care professionals. Residents completing this program will be prepared to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist who is able to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to transplant recipients in both the inpatient and outpatient environments within a comprehensive transplant center.
Barnes-Jewish Hospital participates in the ASHP residency matching program for this PGY2 residency.
