Pancreatic Cysts

Pancreatic cysts can go unnoticed and have minimal symptoms while others will have symptoms similar to those of pancreatitis, including the following:

• Abdominal pain;

• Nausea and vomiting;

• Diarrhea;

• Weight loss;

• Yellowing of the skin and eyes ( jaundice).

TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR PANCREATIC CYSTS

• Drainage: if a cyst is growing, it can be drained using an endoscope equipped with a small needle; 

• Surgery: if a cyst is causing pain or is cancerous, surgery may be required to remove it.
