The kidney transplant process is a lifelong journey, and Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Transplant Center are here to guide you every step of the way. We understand the challenges you may face and are dedicated to your ongoing care. That's why we offer a supportive space where waitlist patients and their caregivers come together to learn more about the waitlist process. This info session, featuring guest speakers, including physicians and living donors, is designed to provide you with the support and guidance you need for your journey.
From this info session, you will gain:
- Peer support
- Strategies for finding a living donor
- Knowledge about receiving kidneys from non-standard donors
- Waitlist responsibilities
This free, in-person information session is open and available for anyone currently on the waitlist and their caregivers. We want to ensure that everyone feels included and welcome. You will learn about living donations, how to find a living donor, and how to use social media to find a living donor. Members of the transplant team will be present to answer questions.
