Hospital Board Welcomes Long-Time Hospital Benefactor S. Lee Kling
September 6, 2005, ST. LOUIS -- The Barnes-Jewish Hospital board of directors named S. Lee Kling the new chairman of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation board of directors for a term ending December 31, 2006. He succeeds Robert C. Isaacs as chairman.
Kling''s involvement with Barnes-Jewish Hospital dates back more than 30 years. He served on the board of directors of the former Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. Kling currently serves as chair of the Gift Development Committee of the Foundation board.
In addition to his valuable service as a successful fund-raising volunteer, he and his wife, Rosalyn, are members of the hospital''s Cornerstone Society and served as honorary co-chairs of the "Reach for the Stars" Cancer Gala in 2003 to benefit the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center.

Kling serves as chairman of the board of The Kling Company, which is involved in insurance consulting services and small and mid-cap investments. He previously served as chairman of the board of Kling Rechter & Company, a merchant banking company. His community involvement includes service on the boards of numerous corporations and civic and charitable organizations.
The mission of Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation is to help relieve pain and suffering by providing financial support to enable the hospital to fulfill its purpose.
